The WiFi section shows: Software Versions:Ĭard Type:ĚirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x14A)įirmware Version:ěroadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (7.77.111.1 AirPortDriverBrcmNIC-1675.1) The PCI section contained thunderbolt information, along with what I believe is the BCM5901 Ethernet Adapter (not WiFi). My result jumped from ~50Mbps to 220Mbps.
(definitely not as nice sounding as googling). So, instead, I used their online bait 'n switch service to find the driver name, then just duckduckgo'd it. I used Malwarebytes to clean it up, and you'll see it's actually warned about here. UPDATE: I GOT IT!! First off, why are so many people recommending DriverPack? Thankfully, Microsoft Defender caught it during install, but there was a Trojan included which was ranked as Severe and 16 infected files. For those that don't know, apparently Dell and Apple peripherals have had similarities in the past and the drivers would work. My 802.11ac network adapter shows a service name of BCM43XX, but I've tried some of Dell's drivers without any luck.
I have a 27' iMac 5K running Windows 10 on bootcamp, but the Wireless Broadcom drivers (v 7.35.118.46) are no good and capped at around 60Mbps. I know this is the hackintosh group, but I believe you have a better understanding of hardware and what works than the Apple community in general.
